ATV Riding
Miles of trails and old logging roads entice the ATV enthusiast to ride in Idaho. Both the U. S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management provide maps for ATV-approved trails in their areas. For information on registration and riding tips, visit the Idaho Parks web site. In Idaho, it is not necessary for visitors to register their off-road vehicles unless they will be in the state more than 30 consecutive days. ATVs and Idaho. Trading posts. Fish hatchery tours. The 45th parallel. Take a look around or even stay overnight in a 30-foot beagle at a dog-inspired gift shop. Tour a lumber mill or enter a gold panning contest. Stay at a teepee camp and learn ancient fire making and Native American archery. Walk along the world's longest floating boardwalk, or stop into an old-fashioned country store and enjoy a square ice cream cone. Idaho's roadside attractions are a great way to enjoy a slice of Idaho.
